Typhoon Mangkhut Struck Hong Kong
On September 16, 2018, Typhoon Mangkhut swept
Hong Kong, which is considered as the strongest
typhoon to have struck Hong Kong since 1983.
Although Typhoon Mangkhut has left, it has
damaged Hong Kong seriously. Many buildings
were ruined, and a large number of big trees were
knocked over, some of which broke the cars or the
facilities nearby. Because of its bad effects, on
September 16, not only did the bus services have
to stop, but also all the students were asked to stay
at home. Worse still, about 900 scheduled flights
were cancelled, and hundreds of passengers were
held up at the airport.
Luckily, there is no one killed. The government
is doing whatever they can to get everything back
to normal.
