　　【Abstract】 Objective To discuss the clinical effect of combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of senile refractory hypertension. Methods A total of 100 senile patients with refractory hypertension as study subjects were divided by random number table method into observation group and control group， with 50 cases in each group. The control group received western medicine therapy， and the observation group received traditional Chinese medicine therapy on the basis of the control group. Comparison and analysis were made on systolic blood pressure （SBP）， diastolic blood pressure （DBP） and clinical treatment effect after treatment between two groups.
