[Abstract] Objective To observe the short-term effect of Xuzhikang Capsules combined with Valsartan in the treatment of patients with hypertensive retinopathy. Methods The subjects in 60 cases with 106 eyes were from the Fourth People′s Hospital of Linfen from January 2012 to July 2015， and they were divided into control group and treatment group by random number table， with 30 cases in each group. The two groups were underwent routine treatment to ensure that the test was carried out with the patient′s blood pressure up to standard. The observation group was additionally treated with Xuezhikang Capsules. The clinical efficacy was evaluated at 8 weeks after treatment.
