As is shown in the picture, the earth’s water is flowing away and is becoming less and less. Although water is very important to humans, it is being wasted seriously.
I think there are several factors contributing to this problem. First, the fast-growing population poses a big threat to fresh water supply. With the growth of population, the water consumption of industry, agriculture and living has greatly increased. Second, the ecological environment is being damaged, which means trees and soil are less able to store water. Third, water resources are polluted in some areas, so much water has become undrinkable. The last one is that many people don’t realize the importance of saving water.
Water resources are essential to humans’ survival and there are no such things that can replace them. I think we must do something to protect water resources and reduce waste. We should spare no effort to raise people’s awareness about saving water. Meanwhile, certain regulations should be set by our government to make people behave themselves.
